A Farewell To Harry Potter
Yes, I do realize that this isn't an actual farewell- Harry Potter will live on through the books and movies forever. But the creation is finished- and that is what I find the most saddening. Here is my farewell to the characters who most inspired me. I also made this a group story- for those who would like to add their say.
Chapter 1
A Farewell of Sorts
If you havn't already, please read the introduction.
This farewell was inspired by PotionsMaster- who comes up with the most fantastic ideas if I say so myself.
Dobby the House Elf: You've inspired me in so many ways. You've given me one more costume to wear for Halloween, you've shown me to risk your life for greater causes, and d anything and everything you can you (nomatter how inonvenient) instead of giving up. You areamazing- and one of the few deaths I cried over.
Fred Weasley: You and George have taught me a lot- but over the course of the storyline- you were the one who captured my heart even more so. You were the one that made me burst out laughing- the 17th time I watched the movie- at a joke that wasn't even very funny. You are the one that I would love to write a story about- but choose not to because you are two special and I would never want to portray you as a character that you aren't without realizing it.
Neville Longbottom: In the first and second books/movies, I wondered why you were put in Gryffindor- you threatened to tattle on Harry, Ron, and Hermione, and I found you a large annoyance. But, you changed the most. Twelve year old tattle tale, who feared his Potions teacher over all the treacherous evil in the world, and always lost his toad- turned into this amazing determined 17 year old, who would always stand up for what he believed him- no matter how hard and/or painful the consequences were. Neville, you are my inspiration.
Hermione Granger: I will admit- I didn't like you at first. You aren't one of my favourite character's and never have been. But at the same point- you and I are more alike than I had ever imagined (including our like and frustration towards Ron Weasley). I can't help but admire you.
Bellatrix Lestrange: You have shown the world that loyalty isn't always the best path to choose. That evil can lead to insanity. I can honestly say that when you were first introduced, I had nightmares about you- I was that scared. But now I've come along way. What you are isn't scary- but twisted and sad.
Severus Snape: What truth lied beneath the surface of you was (what I found) the most surprising aspect of the book. You played the most convincing part. I admire you and what you have done. You are amazing in every sense. You deserved a better life than what you were given- and we can only hope people will always honour who you are.
Hagrid: You were strong and brave- facing any problem that crossed your path without hesitation. You never failed to show who you really were, and you had a huge heart.
Harry Potter: You faced danger without hesitation and were always brave nomatter what- a true Gryffindor. You lost hope, got upset, became frustrated- but never gave up. You are the boy who lived- and will forevermore be the esscence of the series.
Ron Weasley: Ron. You are the the love of my life. You lost perserverance- but you always came back. You are the one that makes me laugh so hard that I'm lying on the ground unable to breath. You are the one that makes tears come to my eyes at sad moments. You are amazing.
Albus Dumbledore: Your wise thoughtfulness and wisdom gave me hope and made me grow as a person. There isn't a lot I can say about you that hasn't already been said... You are amazing.
These are the characters that stuck out to me- though I have many more favourites. I hope you learned from these characters as much as I did.

Yeah, I read yours earlier; it was amazing. These things are so sad. ;(
:') I really like reading these, because it brings all those great memories of Harry Potter to my mind. I love what you wrote about Dobby, Neville, Hagrid and Harry. Not that I don't like the others.
I cried so much at that movie :(
But you're right. It will never really be goodbye for us HP nerds
Starts clapping in hopes that everyone will join in I luv this! So emotional! :')
Oh my goodness, I just got back from the movie and I am still sobbing. I got pretty emotional when I saw Fred dead and George and Ron crying over his body, and shed a tear when Ron and Hermione finally kissed (I was so happy, I actually yelled "FINALLY!".), but when I really started crying was when I saw Snape's past through the Pensieve. The epilogue made me start absolutely SOBBING, especially when the chocolate frog jumped on the windowsill. :) I will never forget Harry Potter :)
applauds and sobs I can't claim credit for doing this first! I really can't! However, this is beautiful!
YOUR MAKIN ME BAWL MY EYES OUT!!!!!!!!! THAT IS SO TOUCHING!!!!!! I LOVE YOU HARRY POTTER and FRED!!!!
i was so sad when fred died, i cried.
I THINK I MIGHT AGAIN! WAAAAAAAHHHH!!
there.
In the books when snape jumped out of the window, I STARTED LAughing like crazy!!!!!!!
I love you HP
live on!
The first movie came out when I was three, so I've pretty much been raised on these movies. Which is what makes this so touching. Harry's story WILL live on for generations to come. But it is only the fans who can keep the magic alive. 8)
